Cyclers...

The Sirius SuperTest Cycler, $69.953x3.gif (810 bytes)

Many of you know that we haven't sold a cycler for some time now because we weren't comfortable recommending any of the cyclers currently on the market. Well, that's finally changed. For over a year now we've been testing the Sirius SuperTest Cycler in our lab. We've thoroughly compared it to much more expensive precision test equipment and the SuperTest has passed with flying colors.

The SuperTest Cycler is not a charger. To use it, you would first charge your 4 or 5 cell receiver pack, or your 8 cell transmitter pack, with the charger you already have. Once the pack is fully charged, you would unplug it from your charger and plug the pack into the SuperTest Cycler.

The SuperTest Cycler  cycles one pack at a time. There are switches to select 4, 5, or 8 cell packs and a test load of 100ma, 250ma, or 500ma. If you'd like to match the tests we run here at SR, use the 250ma position. The 500ma position will generally give you lower test results and the 125ma position will give you higher test results.

Once you plug your pack into the SuperTest, it will automatically start to cycle your pack. You don't have to plug the SuperTest into the wall, it's powered by the energy in your battery pack! When your pack reaches a precise cutoff point, which isn't low enough to damage your pack, the SuperTest will automatically stop the cycle and your pack's capacity will be displayed on the SuperTest's large, LED display. It couldn't be easier to use.

JR Transmitter Adapter, $9.953x3.gif (810 bytes)

For those of you with JR transmitters, you're going to need the JR Transmitter Adapter for the SuperTest. This same adapter is needed for the Sirius Pro Series Fast Field Charger. The polarity of the transmitter charge plug used in JR transmitters is the opposite of all other tranmitters (Futaba, Hitec, Airtronics, etc.). This adapter will make your JR transmitter compatible with the SuperTest Cycler and the Pro Series Fast Field Charger.

Please Note...
Regardless of the brand or model of your transmitter, if the manufacturer has installed a blocking diode in the transmitter's charging circuit, you will not be able to cycle the transmitter's battery pack until the diode is bypassed. Contact the maker of your transmitter for details.

There's no problem cycling your receiver pack.
